So, now the media i making a big deal that President Obama has signed into law a bill that would losen the restrictions on stem cell research. Ok the conservatives are only saying that the stem cell research is not moral and unethical but I have not ran across any solid reason or evidence that they or any other person with negative views on stem cell research have put forthth that supports not pursuing it. I for believe that its a great thing people will one day be able to have an exact clone of themselves. Your son will not only be your son but your exact duplicate well in genetics anyway. This research can also be used to reproduce organs that can be used to save many lives. How great would it be to grow a heart if some one needs one, or to raise a family that exactly mirrors yours may be weird for some but for others its a dream.
I agree here. I dont think that doing something that can cure cancer and all kinds of other things is "playing God"...if there even is such a being. Religious conservatives are ruining it for many sick people because of something that might not even exist in the first place. I'm not denouncing the existence of a God here, but I do feel that any kind of breakthrough that could benefit so many should not be decided based on religious beliefs alone.
